What sort of vibe are you looking for, what experience do you want your guests to have?
What's your expected guest count?
Would you like an outdoor component? And if so, does the timing and weather suit outdoors?
Do you need to be close to (or in) a hotel?
Does the venue have a set vendor list?
What have you really loved about other people's weddings?
What have you not liked at other weddings?
